Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
