Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
