Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the time comes for messengers to meet -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Then We facilitated your birth. How well do We calculate! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
