Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
