Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
