Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 storming tempestuously 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 "Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
