Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
