Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 separating one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 The living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
