Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
