Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
