Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
