In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
