The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
