Messengers, eat what is wholesome and do good deeds: I am well aware of what you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 Yet they divided themselves into factions, each rejoicing in what they had. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 Who do not associate any one with their Lord, 59 And those who give what they give (in alms) while their hearts are full of fear that to their Lord they must return, 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 So that when We seize the affluent among them with affliction, they will begin to implore for help. 64 "Put a stop to your groaning now! Surely no help shall be provided to you from Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had truth been subject to their whims the heavens and the earth and all those within them would have been depraved. In fact We had sent them their reminder, but they turned away from good advice. 71 Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. 72 But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; 73 And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- 76 when We opened on them a gate of severe punishment, they utterly despaired. 77
