The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 The mountains made to move, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
