Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Ours it is to gather it, and to recite it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then Ours it is to explain it. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
