۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 indeed, on that Day they will surrender themselves. 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 (The followers will say to their leaders): “You used to come to us from the right hand.” 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Surely thus do We deal with the guilty. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 And ye shall be required not except for that which ye have been doing; 39 But the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah,- 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 fruits of various kinds; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 They will be served with a cup full of crystal clear wine, 45 Crystal-white, of a taste delicious to those who drink (thereof), 46 Neither does it intoxicate, nor give a headache. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 Who said: art thou of those who confess to the doctrine of Resurrection: 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 its fruit [as repulsive] as satans' heads; 65 (The people of Hell) will surely eat of it, filling their bellies with it. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They found their fathers erring, 69 So they (too) made haste to follow in their footsteps! 70 And indeed most of the men of old went astray before them; 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74
