Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Then ask them whether your Lord has daughters and they have sons. 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "God has begotten (children)?" They are liars indeed! 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you that you judge in such a wise? 154 Will you not then remember? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 we are the rangers, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And indeed, the disbelievers used to say, 167 Had we a reminder from those of yore, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn) 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And that Our hosts, they verily would be the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 Then when it descendeth unto them face to face, a hapless morn that shall be for those who were warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord: the Lord of Glory is far above what they attribute to Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
