The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The command of Allah is coming, so be not impatient for it. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him. 1 He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." 2 He created the heavens and the earth for a true purpose. He is exalted above anything they associate with Him. 3 He creates man out of a [mere] drop of sperm: and lo! this same being shows himself endowed with the power to think and to argue! 4 And the cattle! He hath created them. For you in them there is warmth and other profits and of them ye eat. 5 And you find beauty in them as you drive them to pasture in the morning and as you drive them back home in the evening; 6 And they carry your loads to a land that you could not reach except with great trouble to yourselves. Truly, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful. 7 And horses, and mules, and donkeys so that you may ride them, and for adornment; and He will create what you do not know*. (* All modern means of transport – by air, sea, land and even in space – evidence this.) 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
