Aaron had said to them before: 'My nation, you have been tempted by it. Your Lord is the Merciful. Follow me and obey my order' 90 They replied: 'We will not stop; we will cling to it until Moses returns to us.' 91 But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you 92 “That you did not come after me? So did you disobey my order?” 93 He said, “O son of my mother, do not clutch my beard nor the hair on my head; I feared that you may say, ‘You have caused a division among the Descendants of Israel and did not wait for my advice.’” 94 Moses asked, "Samiri, what were your motives?" 95 He said: I saw (Jibreel) what they did not see, so I took a handful (of the dust) from the footsteps of the messenger, then I threw it in the casting; thus did my soul commend to me 96 Musa (Moses) said: "Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: "Touch me not (i.e. you will live alone exiled away from mankind); and verily (for a future torment), you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your ilah (god), to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea." 97 “Your God is only Allah – other than for Whom there is no worship; His knowledge encompasses all things.” 98 So We relate to thee stories of what has gone before, and We have given thee a remembrance from Us. 99 Whoever turns away from it - then indeed, he will bear on the Day of Resurrection a burden, 100 They will remain in it forever – what an evil burden it will be for them on the Day of Resurrection! 101 On the day the Trumpet is blown; and We shall muster the sinners upon that day with eyes staring, 102 In whispers will they speak to each other (saying): "You stayed not longer than ten (days)." 103 We know well what they will utter, whereas the wisest among them will say, “You have stayed just for a day.” 104
