Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will be shown hell 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8
True are the words of God the Almighty.
