NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who will be in Paradise 40 About the criminals, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
