The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 It will engulf them. 8 in columns outstretched. 9
