Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
