The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 Behold! they sat over against the (fire), 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
