The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 and the drivers driving, 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily, verily, your Allah is one!- 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – and the Lord of the sun’s rising points. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 They are rejected and theirs is an everlasting punishment; 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So, ask those who deny the truth if it was harder to create them than all the other things We have created? We created them from sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: "This is clearly nothing but [a mortal's] spellbinding eloquence! 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Proclaim, “Yes, and with disgrace.” 18 So that is just a single jolt, thereupon they will begin staring. 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
