Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
