Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
