Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a known term? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
