Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
