Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known extent. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
