The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 you pay attention 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
