The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 But (the Pharaoh) disavowed and disobeyed. 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
