The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and float [through space] with floating serene, 3 and the outstrippers (angels), outstripping, 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 (Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But [Pharaoh] gave him the lie and rebelliously rejected [all guidance,] 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And assembled (his council) and proclaimed, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
