He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man came unto him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 To him do you address yourself. 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 Inscribed in Writs honoured, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From a drop of liquid; He created him and then set several measures for him. 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 olives, dates, 29 And gardens of dense shrubbery 30 And fruits and herbage 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 those will be ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity. 42
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
