He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because a blind man came to him. 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 or take heed and derive benefit from [Our] warning? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 you attended to him, 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 You neglect. 10 Nay! surely it is an admonishment. 11 So whoever wills may remember it. 12 It is set down on honoured pages, 13 lofty and pure, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble, virtuous. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then makes him to die, and buries him, 21 Then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life. 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 That We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and then We cleaved the earth asunder. 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 olives, dates, 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 fruits, and grass. 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 But when the deafening blast is sounded, 33 On that day man will run away from his brother. 34 And from his mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, joyous. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 Blackness will cover them: 41 Those! they are the infidels, the ungodly. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
