He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 when the blind came to him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 or receive some (Quranic) advice which would benefit him. 4 As for him who was indifferent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 but as for one who comes to you, eagerly 8 And he fears, 9 From him will you divert yourself. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 and whosoever wills, shall remember it. 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted, purified, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble and purified. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and clover plants (i.e. green fodder for the cattle), 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his children. 36 on that Day, to every one of them will his own state be of sufficient concern. 37 Some faces that Day will be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news; 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
