He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you are not to be blamed if he would not purify himself -- 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 And he feareth 9 you ignore him. 10 No indeed; this is only a Reminder. 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 exalted and purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 noble, pious. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what has God created him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let mankind look at his food - 24 We poured out the rains abundantly, 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 And olive and palm trees 29 And thick gardens, 30 and fruits and pastures 31 Provision for you and your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 That Day shall a man flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces that Day will be dust-stained, 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
