He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 because the blind man approached him! 2 You never know. Perhaps he wanted to purify himself, 3 or he might be mindful and good counsel might avail him. 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you attended to him, 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and in awe of God 9 So you leave him, and are engrossed elsewhere! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 noble and pious. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 From what thing did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him) 20 Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave, 21 Then He will raise him up again when He please. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 It is We Who pour forth water, pouring, 25 Thereafter We cleave the earth in clefts, 26 how We made the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and clover, 28 and olives and palms, 29 and gardens dense with foliage, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And his spouse and his son-- 36 Each one of them, that Day, will have enough concern (of his own) to make him indifferent to the others. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
