AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 But when they came to the point where the two met, they forgot their fish, which made its way burrowing into the sea. 61 So when they had passed beyond it, [Moses] said to his boy, "Bring us our morning meal. We have certainly suffered in this, our journey, [much] fatigue." 62 Said [the servant]: "Wouldst thou believe it? When we betook ourselves to that rock for a rest, behold, I forgot about the fish - and none but Satan made me thus forget it - and it took its way into the sea! How strange!" 63 'This is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps 64 And they found a servant from among Our servants to whom we had given mercy from us and had taught him from Us a [certain] knowledge. 65 Moses said to him, 'Shall I follow thee so that thou teachest me, of what thou hast been taught, right judgment.' 66 He said: Surely you cannot have patience with me 67 How canst thou bear with that whereof thou canst not compass any knowledge? 68 He said: Allah willing, thou shalt find me patient and I shall not in aught gainsay thee. 69 He (Khidr) said: "Then, if you follow me, ask me not about anything till I myself mention it to you." 70
