Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 Nay, you will soon come to know; 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 You will surely end up seeing Hell; 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
