Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
