And on the day when the enemies of Allah are herded towards the fire, the earlier groups will be restrained till the latter join them. 19 and when all have arrived, their ears, their eyes, and their skins shall bear witness against them, stating all that they had done in the life of the world. 20 And they will say to their skins, “Why did you testify against us?"; they will say, “Allah has made us talk, Who has given all things the power of speech, and it is He Who created you the first time, and it is to Him that you have to return.” 21 Not so did you cover yourselves, that your hearing, your eyes and your skins should not bear witness against you; but you thought that God would never know much of the things that you were working. 22 And that thought of yours which you thought about your Lord, has brought you to destruction, and you have become (this Day) of those utterly lost! 23 Then if they will endure, still the fire is their abode, and if they ask for goodwill, then are they not of those who shall be granted goodwill. 24 ۞ We had assigned to them close companions who made their past and present look attractive to them; and the fate that had once befallen the communities of jinns and men before them was justified upon them. They were indeed bound to perish. 25
