The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth is shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled, 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 So those on the right how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 Many of them will be from the ancient people 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On thrones decorated, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - 18 by which their minds will not be clouded and which will not make them drunk; 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 beautiful as pearls hidden in their shells. 23 as reward for their deeds. 24 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.). 25 All talk will be sound and upright. 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 Among thornless lote-trees 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 And shade extended 30 And water gushing, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have created (their Companions) of special creation. 35 and made them virgins, 36 Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
