He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 And what would make you know that he would purify himself, 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to a rich man, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 and in awe [of God] 9 you pay no heed to him. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 and so, whoever is willing may remember Him 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 [But only too often] man destroys himself: how stubbornly does he deny the truth! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out, as during the night of Holy Prophet's ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection. 22 Nay, but [man] has never yet fulfilled what He has enjoined upon him! 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 [how it is] that We pour down water, pouring it down abundantly; 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And caused to grow within it grain 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 And olives and palms 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruits and fodder 31 In order to benefit you and your cattle. 32 But, when the Blast comes, 33 upon the day when a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Veiled in darkness, 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
