The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 and the night that falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 Your companion is not mad. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 And what will you wish, except if Allah wills the Lord of the Creation. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
