The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when the sky is unveiled, 11 when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
