Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
