Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 Honorable recorders, 11 They know all that you do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
