Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
